Bra Measuring Tips
Measure while wearing an unpadded bra. Bra Size is made up of two measurements: band size and bra cup size. Here is a general method to determine your bra size. Adjustments may need to be made depending on the brand and style.
1) Measure the Band Size
Measured in inches, the band size is the number of inches around the upper rib cage just below the breasts. Hold the measuring tape taut and round up to an even number (33"" becomes 34"").
2) Measure the Cup Size

Measure the area around the fullest part of the bust. The cup size is determined by taking the number of inches around the fullest part of the breast and subtracting the band size from that number. It is measured in letters (1"=A, 2"=B,3"=C, 4"=D, 5"=DD/E, 6"=DDD/F, 7"=DDDD/G, etc.).

Combine these two measurements to determine the proper bra size (e.g. 34B, 36C, 38D, etc.). See the size chart below for the easy reference.

Keep in mind that a  strapless or molded cup bra may require you to go up a size or two in cup size for a better fit. Also, some non-U.S. brands may vary slightly from the suggested measurement method. See specific brand sizing for more details.
