 Caring for Intimates
When you buy quality undergarments, you should get the most out of them. Follow these tips to make them last longer.
 Bras
 Washing
  • First and foremost, follow the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Hand wash in cold water with like colors. Wash with a soap that does not bleach or degrade lace and elastic. Rinse thoroughly.
  • If you are unable to hand wash, machine wash in cold water on the delicate cycle with your bra placed in a netted bag.
  • Be sure to fasten the clasp before you put it in the bag. This will protect your bra back and underwire from being pulled and stretched during the rinse and spin cycle.
  • Line dry by hanging the bra damp on a line or bar and allowing it to air dry away from the sunlight. The dryer ruins elastic.
  • Do not iron or press with heat.
Wearing
  • Be careful not to over wear your bra. Rotate your bra selection to provide at least one day of rest for every day of wear. This will help maintain its structure and form.
 Panties
 Washing
  • Hand washing is recommended but you may machine wash on the delicate cycle with your panties placed in a netted bag.
 Lingerie
 Washing
  • Hand washing is recommended but you may machine wash on the delicate cycle with your panties placed in a netted bag. Do not bleach.
  • Avoid washing you lingerie loosely with other articles of clothing. Given their delicate structure, it is very easy for lingerie items to get twisted and stretched in the washing machine.
  • Avoid detergents you normally use with your other laundry.
  • Do not tumble dry loosely with other articles of clothing. Once again, your items may twist and stretch.
  • Do not line dry as this may cause creases and stretching. Instead, dry on a rack, away from sunlight.
  • Do not iron your lingerie. If absolutely necessary, use gentle steaming to remove wrinkles.
